Go the Extra Mile Patriot Festival 5K+ Run/Walk

Start off Memorial Day with a special 5K+ Run/Walk and Go The Extra Mile for our military heroes. Register today for the 5K+ Run/Walk on Memorial Day, May 28 at Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall. Participants may register for either the traditional 5K+ run/walk or choose to honor their military heroes with "Go the Extra Mile" with an additional mile added to the 5K.

When the race is over, join us in Symphony Park for the awards ceremony and The Patriot Festival, 9:00am – 11:00am, Symphony Park at SouthPark featuring a tandem jump with local media personality and a JROTC performance. Lots of fun activities for kids too. All race registrants and Extra Mile participants are invited to stay. The Festival is open to the public and free of charge.

Patriot Charities is a local, grassroots, 501©3, and the money raised each year goes to support wounded warrior programs in the Carolinas by donating to charities such as the USO of North Carolina Charlotte Center, Operation Homefront, Helpingahero.org, Purple Heart Homes, Semper Fidelis Health & Wellness, North Carolina Heroes Fund and Rolling Thunder.

$200,000 was donated from The Patriot Gala 2011 to our beneficiaries in support of our mission – to raise funds to financially assist non-profit organizations and local programs within the Carolinas concerned with the immediate welfare, care and support for our military and their families wounded in ongoing military operations.
